For rack frame / open frame we mean a structure (generally metal) based on at least 2 vertical sheets called Rack Uprights on which the equipment is fixed with screws or placed on special guides electronic, audio video or networking such as servers, switches, hubs, routers, patch panels and switchboards.
Our rack frames are made with two modular aluminum structures with similar characteristics but different areas of use. They are made of extruded anodized aluminum grafted onto three-way joints that allow you to create solid and light structures, with very high mechanical precision and extremely versatile and modular. The two different structures based on the same patent allow you to create aluminum frames ranging in size from a few centimeters up to a maximum of 4 meters per size.
With the structure called UniversalRack you can make solid and important cabinets and frames with dimensions up to 4 meters per side, the standard production always available in stock provides structures height from 6 to 50 rack units with widths 551, 596 and 818 mm and depths from 551 and 996 mm.
The open frame frames of the UniversalRack family have codes in the form TR XX XX XX where after the letters TR we find 3 pairs of numbers that determine the dimensions of the structure expressed in rack units: height the first 2 digits, width the 2 center, depth the final 2.
UniversalRack components are based on a structure made of sturdy, wear-resistant, high-precision extruded aluminum profiles with a modern, functional line. Each frame profile is equipped with two 90-degree support fins, both of which can be equipped with 44.45 mm pitch square drilling along the entire length to allow rack components to be installed. The extruded aluminum profiles are joined by three-way joints to which they are fixed with screws with hexagonal head of M10 thread and 30 mm long. The joints are then covered with a special protective cover. The extruded profiles are made of natural anodized 6060 aluminum alloy, joints and covers are in die-cast zamak.
UniversalRack cabinets and frames are ideal for making subrack enclosures, installing standard 19" products such as rack servers and electronics in general. For all models are available a wide range of accessories and customizations such as shelves, side closures, roof and bottom, component plate, plinths with wheels or pallets, eyebolts and much more.
In 551 mm wide frames (TRxx10xx) the 19" objects are installed directly on the front and rear pillars (L=551 mm outside corresponds to 19" inside).
In the 596 mm wide frames (TRxx11xx) the scope of delivery includes (in addition to the 551 mm wide frame) 2 steel reduction rack posts codes ARMA.ML 19xx (where xx is the number of units)
Exploded legend:
1 - Extruded aluminium profile code ARMA.PNG XX.Z (where XX is the length expressed in number of rack units; Z can take value ONE or TWO and indicates if one or both fins have square rack pitch drilling for nuts in cage). To make a complete frame you need 4 extruded profiles for each size or a total of 12 pieces.
2 - Junction angle code ARMA. TRC-2002 - 8 pieces are needed for 1 frame
3 - Corner cover code ARMA. TRC-C2002 or ARMA. TRCFC2002 (perforated joint cover) - 8 pieces are needed for 1 frame
4 - Recessed hexagon screw code ARMA. B-10-30 - 24 pieces are needed for 1 frame, 3 for joint
5 - Internal aluminium upright 19" cod. ARMA. ML-2-XX where XX is the number of rack units*
6 - External aluminium upright 19" code ARMA. SP XX where XX is the number of rack units*
7 - 19" steel interior uprightcod. ARMA.ML 19/XX where XX is the number of rack units*
*the reduction posts to 19", ARMA. ML-2, WEAPON. SP and ARMA.ML 19 are required in frames with a width of 11U equal to 596 mm (TRxx11xx) and are fixed to the holes in the profiles that realize the depth or in frames with a width of 16U equal to 818 mm (TRxx16xx) and are fixed on ARMA support crossbars. SML. XX mounted at the bottom of the frame and at the top on the roof.

For the codes in the table that do not refer to any technical data sheet and for different sizes, ask for a quote. the joint kit with 3 screws and cover weighs 350 grams, 8 are needed, therefore 350 grams. x8 = 2.8kg. The profiles weigh approximately 1Kg/m linear the length of a profile is obtained by multiplying the number of units by 44.45 mm and adding 7.25 mm to the result, for example a TR151016 frame weighs: (15 x 44.45)+7.25 = 674.00 mm = 0.674 m = 0.674 kg. x4 = 2.70kg (10 x 44.45)+7.25 = 444.50 mm = 0.445 m = 0.445 kg. x4 = 1.78kg (16 x 44.45)+7.25 = 718.45 mm = 0.718 m = 0.718 kg. x4 = 2.87kg N. 8 joints and related accessories = 350 gr. x8 = 2.8kg. Total 10.15 kg
how to calculate the weight of UniversalRack family frames:
the joint kit with 3 screws and cover weighs 350 grams, 8 are needed, therefore 350 grams. x8 = 2.8kg. The profiles weigh approximately 1Kg/m linear the length of a profile is obtained by multiplying the number of units by 44.45 mm and adding 7.25 mm to the result,
