MDW S.r.l. ("MDW"), with registered office in Bologna, Viale Quirico Filopanti, 4.

MDW manufactures and sells precision mechanical carpentry, cabinets and electrical panels, other related products that it also markets through its e-commerce sites MDW.IT, Armadi-Rack.it, okPrice.it, Bluets.it.

MDW is therefore the data controller of personal data collected through these websites in carrying out pre-sales commercial support activities, as part of the resolution of technical issues, as a result of the sale of goods and services.

What personal information does MDW collect?

MDW collects personal information when it is provided directly by you or through your use of one of our websites, such as:

Information about you and the company you work for, when you create an account for our site. This could include your name and contact details, name and company details.

Transaction, billing and delivery information, if you have purchased a product or contract for one of our services.

Business Partners: if a product or service is provided through a Business Partner, MDW undertakes to demand full compliance with the Privacy Legislation from that Partner.

Affiliated couriers: in order to deliver the ordered material, MDW undertakes to demand full compliance with the Privacy legislation from this Partner.

Government authorities: When the order is to be delivered to a country other than Italy, we may need to share information with both the Italian customs authorities and the destination country. In addition, we may need to share personal information with law enforcement or other government authorities, such as to report fraud or in response to a legitimate request.

Credit and fraud checks: We may share information with credit reference agencies and third parties engaged in fraud detection and combat.

Business or asset disposal: In the event of a sale of business assets, our customers' personal information may be disclosed to a potential buyer. In this case, we will make reasonable efforts to ensure that the buyer remains bound by the terms of this privacy policy.

MDW may also disclose personal information if it believes such disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of MDW, its customers or employees, or the public, or when otherwise authorized by law.


 

Where does MDW store personal information and for how long?

MDW stores personal information on its corporate servers and computers at its registered office and operational headquarters, and this data is stored in an encrypted and unusable manner in periodic backups held by our Partners. MDW undertakes to demand full compliance with the Privacy Policy from these Partners.

We retain personal information for as long as necessary for the purposes mentioned above, so this period may vary depending on your interactions with you. For example, when a purchase has been finalized, we keep a copy for the period necessary for invoicing, taxation and any warranty coverage. We may also keep a copy of correspondence between you and us, for example if you have made a complaint about a product, for as long as necessary to protect us from a legal claim.

When we no longer need to retain information, it will be deleted. Please note that when you unsubscribe from marketing communications, we will keep a copy of your email address to ensure that you do not forward marketing emails to that address in the future.


 

What does MDW do to protect personal information?

MDW's goal is to offer the highest level of service and security to its customers

For online transactions we only use the PAY-PAL business platform whenever the user sends sensitive information, such as credit card number, or PayPal account, these details are managed directly and exclusively by PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. e Cie, S.C.A

For bank account details, when provided directly by the customer, they are managed and stored exclusively on MDW computers and servers.

Account and personal online profile information is password protected so that only the user can access it. The user can edit their MDW account information and profile using their user ID and password. It is recommended that you never disclose your password to anyone.


 

How does MDW use personal information for marketing?

MDW may occasionally send emails and marketing materials directly by post about products that we think may be of interest to you.

Some or all of these marketing messages are likely to be tailored to your preferences, defined based on what we know about you and/or the company you work for, and derived from, for example, your online profile, previous searches, and your MDW Online browsing history and shopping activity.
