Rack / open frame means a structure (generally metallic) based on at least 2 vertical plates called rack uprights on which electronic, audio video or networking equipment such as servers, switches and switchboards are fixed with screws or placed on special guides. Rack frames are structures without covers that offer maximum freedom of intervention and modification of the installed devices. They are mainly used in dust-free places or in laboratories where the equipment does not require particular protection. They are available in the standard 19", 21" or in the metric version (mainly for military use) with 2 or more 19" rack uprights and very variable dimensions.
Our rack frames are made with modular structures in aluminum or steel, they can be:
These laboratory frames are generally used to house electrical and electronic equipment for testing or prototyping.

They are made of extruded aluminum grafted onto three-way joints which allow the creation of solid and light structures, with very high mechanical precision, extremely versatile and modular. The two different structures based on the same patent allow you to create aluminum frames of varying dimensions from a few centimeters up to over 4 meters per dimension.
The structure called ModulRack is used to create objects with a rack width of 19" or less, ideal for containing electronics and instruments.
The frames called UniversalRack are used to create objects with a rack width of 19" or more, capable of holding important and large loads.
PowerRack frames are "cage" structures made with aluzinc treated steel profiles grafted onto three-way joints, ideal for heavy-duty use, guaranteeing robustness and functionality even with heavy loads, ideal for applications involving battery packs, ferrite cores, toroidal , electromechanical components.
Designed to create 4-profile structures, 19" wide or less.
With the ModulRack structure it is possible to create 84HP (TE) wide frames * equivalent to 19'' (451 mm) and smaller width structures: 60 HP = 328 mm, 42 HP = 237 mm,
* TE or HP (Horizontal pitch) is a typical unit of measurement in the world of printed circuits and defines the width of devices mounted in subracks, 1TE or HP corresponds to 0.2 inches (5.08 mm)
ModulRack frames have codes of the form TV(A,B,C)xxxx where the 3rd letter after the prefix TV(A,B,C) identifies the width of the container:
A=84HP (19'') 451 mm internal (TE), 525 mm external dimensions (B)
B=60HP 328 mm internal (TE), 402 mm external dimensions (B)
C=42HP 237 mm internal (TE), 311 mm external dimensions (B)
the final part of the code consisting of 4 digits identifies the number of units (U first 2 digits) and the depth in cm (last 2 digits).

The family of products called UniversalRack is optimized to create solid and important structures with a width of 19" or more (up to 4 meters per side) . The open frames of this series have codes in the form TRhhwwdd where after the letters TR we find 3 pairs of numbers that determine the dimensions of the structure expressed in rack units: height the first 2 digits, width the central 2, depth the final 2.
In the 10U = 551 mm wide frames (TRhh10dd) the 19" objects are installed directly on the front and rear uprights (external L=551 mm corresponds to 19" internal).
In the 11U = 596 mm (TRhh11dd) and 16U = 818 mm (TRhh16dd) wide frames, the 19" system is created with special 19" steel reduction rack uprights, codes ARMA.ML 19xx (where xx indicates the number of units)
Frame composition:
1 - Extruded aluminum profile code. ARMA.PNG XX.Z (where XX indicates the length expressed in number of rack units; Z can take on the value ONE or TWO and indicates whether one or both fins have square holes at rack pitch for the cage nuts). To create a complete frame you need 4 extruded profiles for each size or a total of 12 pieces.
2 - Joint angle code. ARMA.TRC-2002 - For 1 frame you need 8 pieces
3 - Corner cover cod. ARMA.TRC-C2002 (or code ARMA.TRCFC2002 perforated cover) - 8 pieces are needed for 1 frame
4 - Hexagon socket screw cod. ARMA.B-10-30 - For 1 frame you need 24 pieces
5 - 19” internal aluminum upright code. ARMA.ML-2-XX where XX indicates the number of rack units *
6 - External 19” aluminum upright code. ARMA.SP XX where XX indicates the number of rack units *
7 - 19” internal steel upright code. ARMA.ML 19/XX where XX indicates the number of rack units *
*the 19" reduction uprights, ARMA.ML-2, ARMA.SP and ARMA.ML 19 are necessary in frames with a width of 11U equal to 596 mm (TRxx11xx) and are fixed to the holes present in the profiles that create the depth or in frames with a width of 16U equal to 818 mm (TRxx16xx) and are fixed on ARMA.SML.XX support crosspieces mounted at the bottom of the frame bottom and at the top on the roof.

how to calculate the weight of UniversalRack family frames :
the joint kit with 3 screws and cover weighs 350 grams, 8 are needed, therefore 350 grams. x 8 = 2.8kg.
The PowerRack frames are "cage" structures made with aluzinc treated steel profiles grafted onto three-way joints, ideal for heavy-duty use, guaranteeing robustness and functionality even with heavy loads , specifically designed for applications involving battery packs, ferrite cores, toroidal, electromechanical components.
2 mm thick tubular steel frame assembled by means of 3-way joints held by M6 thread screws, completely removable for easier transport, available in natural Aluzinc version, painted RAL 7035 or on request in any color.
Like all "cage" frames, they can be completed with a roof - bottom - sides - doors, transforming themselves into sturdy wardrobes closed on all sides or only partially depending on specific needs.
The coverings such as the roof, sides and doors close flush ensuring an excellent seal and a very high level aesthetic result, they can be blind, ventilated, with fins of different types and sizes, vents, tempered glass windows, Plexiglas or other on customer specification.
The possibility of mounting wheels both directly on the vertices of the structure and on special crosspieces allows the creation of single structures with more than 4 wheels and therefore capable of distributing significant weights in a more homogeneous way.
